You can sometimes crawl underneath the vehicle to figure out what needs to be adjusted if the problem is down there. , the sswitch is in the steering wheel you must remove the steering wheel being carful to disconnect the airbags in the proper procedure so it wont go off and, the switch will be behind there it is part of the multifunction switch. , The wiring harness that run the multifunction swith has broke. I took my column apart and soldered the wires back together for the mean time. I dont suggest tring to do that its not a good fix. i found your post looking for the harrness. If you disconnect the battery you disconnect the airbag system
