Detail: 2000 ford ranger with 3.0 eng. and stick shift, while driving my speedometer quit at the same time my abs brake warning came on. the speedometer starts working after i getup to about 55 or 60 mph any ideas of where to start looking
Solution: Check ABS tone rings and sensors at wheels. Speedometer may be using these signal too. Visually verify rings (look like gears around axles) are intact with all teeth and sensors are at rings with connector attached. Troubleshooting the ABS system is beyond my skill level. If no joy on visual inspection, maybe one of the other experts can chime in on troubleshooting ABS. , I know this video is about an automatic, but maybe you have the same rear sensor?
