Solution: Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two. Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck! , I had to change the battery in my 1999 S-Type, you will need the radio code, I also needed to reprogramme the board computer which is easy if you have your manual at hand, also the car might act strangely for a while, but this is explained in your users manual, nothing to worry about. Hope this helps. , Hi, the problem is, your throttle body is restricting the air flow to the engine due to carbon buildup, simply remove the complete throttle body and clean it very good and reinstall, your problem will be solved for sure. , I would go with the ABS module, if the shop is wrong make them fix what the real problem is for free, is this a Jag dealer? , When the air bag light flashes it is actually doing what is called a "flash code" which can be read by your dealer. The P1000 code is only a standard check code in the Engine control module,The DTC (diagnostic trouble code) will be in the restraints system and the flash codes need to read too...It will flash when igntion is on...will flash then stop a second then flash again giving a 2 digit flash code, then diagnosing can begin , take off the cover and replace them. if you have a volt/ohm meter you can put if on the car side and make sure you have voltage and the ohm meter on the buldb should give a 1 rating if its good. it would be the cheapest and easiest to just get a new bulb and see if it works then start checking fuses if its not the bulb.
