Detail: 2006 JAGUAR X TYPE 30000 MILES Any change in the road service is felt through the seats and the steering, even touching the white line makes it very skittish.Going over the cats eyes is extremely noisy and uncomfortable.Steering concentration has to be has to be 100% or veering in either direction occurs.I previously drove a Pugeot 406 which was afar superior and relaxing ride. I originally put this down to the low profile tyres, but having recently driven a friends X type I realise tht something is amiss with my car.Tyres are new and at the correct pressures. Another problem is that on taking my foot off the accelerator the revs do not always die down and sometimes increase. Advice on these problems would be appreciated.
Solution: First thing is have the alignment checked also low profile tires look nice but you looose the comfort in the ride, you will feel everything in the road, the smaller the profile the worse the ride, to get some comfort you need good tires but will never get the smoth ride with low profile.the reving you would need to start by having the computer system scanned to find out why it revs, may be the throtlebody or the gas pedal sensor. hope this helps. , Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
