Detail Question Where do I find the transfer case actuator please

Solution: Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two. Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck! , the module is what i would suspect. and i do believe it is in the r kick panel. i've seen the button pack on dash go bad too, but module is best bet. , Some of these must be reprogrammed .Double check the connections , look for bent pins, with a terminal tool or small pick CAREFULLY bend female connectors tighter to ensure good contact with male pins. The use of a good scanner could help pinpoint the trouble. , there is a vacuum solonoid on the firewall in the middle with 2 vac lines and a 2 wire plug thats ur problem push the button and smack it with the handle of a screwdriver should work , Hope this helps you , the 242 is the correct transfer case for your car.Its the selec-trac transfer box.The other type is the command-trac.Both types were used in Cherokees.Hope this helps
