Detail: Intermittent fault where when driving the dash and screen go blank and stay off for several hours this has happened 3 times so far since I bought the 2014 V40 D4 in july 2017 = any suggestions

Goodluck! , Check the connections at the battery, and starter. If any one of these cables are loose, it will cause this. Thanks , The transmission control unit has gone bad, a very common problem. There is a capacitor in the TCU that goes bad and cause a short on the board. Do not get a used one, they are all bad. A number of people sell rebuilts on Ebay. The TCU is under the Front passengers feet, pull back the carpet and you'll see both the PCM and TCU. google "accord tcu" or "tcm" if you like Need more info, just ask Dave , DEFINETLY THE IGNITION MODULE, WHEN THE "CHIP" HEATS UP, IT OPENS CIRCUIT THUS ALL POWER TO THE PLUGS IS LOST DUE TO AN INOPERATIONAL COIL. , try removing battery and cleaning all the ground under the battery tray and check main ground wire from battery to engine , When the shift lever is in Park, is the D4 light on, or blinking? If the D4 light is on steady, while the shift lever is in Park, chances are your transmission computer has taken a dump on you. If the D4 light is blinking while the shift lever is in Park, the computer has stored a code, that will give you some idea where to look for the problem.
