Detail: Ok when you turn lights on and change high and low the high beam indicator stays on but lights do change. Left side works fine. When on high beams the right turn indicated light comes on and the fog lights come on too. On low beams fog lights work fine with the switch. Turn right turn signal on and it slightly blinks with turn signal. I've checked bulbs, grounds, new multifunction switch. I don't know if there is anything else to check. Thanks for any help.
Solution: In the diagram for headlamps, the top wire is voltage, the bottom wire is ground. You can use a test light to check voltage and ground. To test ground, one end of test light touches battery voltage the other end touches ground wire terminal, if the lite comes on, the ground is good enough to lite the test light. You know how to check voltage with test light, correct? , Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two. Goodluck! , im a mechanic who owns a1995 pathfinder, had the same problem.your trouble is in your daytime running light module. try giving it a tap, bet they will come back on , most likely the hi lo switch , You need a new headlight dimmer switch located on the steering column between the dash and the firewall , but on 2002 A4, F20 and F21 are empty! Does anyone has an idea where the headlight fuses located? , Common for the wire harness on the switch to go bad. Inspect the wire harness where it clips on to the switch and look for any signs of damage. The plastic heats up from the current running through the switch and causes it to melt and then you loose connection caused from melted plastic between the contacts from the harness to the switch. There is a upgrade to the headlight harness which is larger then the ones that came with the Suburban to address this issues. You can get them at the dealer or NAPA i believe. Good luck and keep us posted. Thank you for using fixya and stay safe. Molson02536
