Detail Question SOLVED: I have a 2011 Jaguar XJ and when I try to start it

Solution: You need to get your battery tested, it may be old and need replacing. if not, then there may be some electronics that are fitted onto your vehicle that is draining the battery over time. A good sign/test for this NOT being the case, would be to take a drive of around 15-20 minutes in length(this is to allow the battery to be charged by your alternator), then switch off your vehicle, wait 10 seconds, and attempt to start your vehicle up again. IF it starts without you needing to jump start it, then the odds of something draining your battery is high.. things fitted after purchase, e.g; an alarm system, a xenon light kit, a different radio, OR even your little factory-fitted boot/door open light, has the potential to drain your battery significantly over time. , Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
