Detail Question SOLVED: 1995 gmc Yukon. Reverse will not engage. It just

Solution: No reverse on this model almost always means a cracked cage in the transmission.Good news is you just have to have the cage changed and not much else and all should be fine and won't cost too much. , Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two. Goodluck! , did you do the rebuild or did a shop do it? it sounds like the clutches werernt done properly. if the reverse is out the other gears will go out too if driven too far in that condition, , Reverse clutches are burnt up. , There isn't a modulator on this trans as it is electronic You can have first gear going forwrd but no reverse. It is possible. The low/ reverse clutch isn't needed to go forward. , I believe that reverse is operated by a brake band. So it seems to be stuck. It is operated by a piston, and the seal could have swelled and caused too much friction. But you could loosen up the adjustor so that it is disengaged, in order to get forward gears again. Perhaps you can force the piston to retract as well, once you drop the pan again. , 2.2td estima enima, the auto gearbox stopt change gear from 3 to 4,can somebody help me please?
