Detail: Getting a P1299 code on 2000 Dodge Intrepid 3.2 L engine. When I get to 60 mph car stutters. Checked for vacuum leaks but difficult to find. Can turn on cruise control but cannot set a speed. MAP sensor pulled and engine immediately shut down. So I believe the MAP sensor is good. Leaning toward a vacuum leak because of what I see with the cruise control unsure how to test TPS but do not think it is that but could be wrong

Goodluck! , Hi, Take a little time to check all earth mounts,There are some fine earthwires under the looms running from air intake if one of these is broken or dirty it can cause all the symptoms you describe. All the best. Phil , If it is fuel injected you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is attached to intake manifold with a vacuum hose and the bladder sometimes fails causing gas to be dumped directly into the intake manifold. Only solution is to replace the fuel pressure regulator. , P1299 - Target Idle Not Reached , Sounds like a short or broken wire in the harness. The engine rocks back and forth in drive and reverse. When you are in reverse and torque the engine it will move in the opposite direction which would pull or push on the main harness.
