Detail: My renault clio automatic is apt to go into limp mode, when the petrol warning light comes on, it does 5mph. Can anything be done about this. hat is th problem?
Solution: Sounds like a fuel delivery problem if it is associated with the low fuel warning light.I wonder if it is fuel gauge isn't really relaying soon enough that you are low on fuel and by the time it does you are running on fumes.it could be a fuel filter that has water ingress or debris from an almost empty tank.who knows?First get the car checked at any garage for the diagnostic error codes that will be stored on the onboard ecu. this is usually a free service.the limp mode episodes will be recorded by error codes which will pinpoint fuel issues, electrical issues etc.Otherwise you will be trying to go through a fix list that costs you time and money . , Hi, a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
