Detail: THERE IS SOME SOUND OCCASIONALLY WHEN SWITCH IS PUSHED BUT WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP,WENT DOWN WITH NO ISSUES
Solution: In may not only be the window motor there is a scissor rail system in the door look at that first if the wheels are broken or not in the track it was have the same effect as a broken gear teeth in the motor i recently learned that once these wheels break you have to buy the whole motor and regulator set up wihch usually isnt cheap if it is the wheels the very effective and cheap way to fix this is to drill out the arm on the scissor go to a hardware store and get some sealed closet door rollers it works just as good or better than factory and trust me $5.00 and some work is way better than $175.00+ and a lot of work pulling the motor, please rate if this solves the problem.. thank you. , Its the contacts in the switch i just fixed this last week on my 98 legacy l.. i tore it all apart which is self explanatory down to the switch's. take the contacts from the back door and switch with the drivers door switch took me a half an hour. or buy the switch used on ebay theres quite a few..this problem is common , Does this Noise Sound like Gears Stripping? If So, Then you will need to Replace the Window Motor. You will need to Remove the Door Panel to Access this Motor. Please Rate My Response!
