Detail: Hii.. i have a 2001 hyundai elantra GLS.. it's got 15000 miles on it.. it's been driving good but some times it gives a "****" and fails to shift the gears properly & the check engine light pops up.. it then drives with decent rpm but gears don't shift?? when i turn off the car & restart it after some time.. the engine light won't show up..?? when i pulled out the codes it said 'p1529' error !! what does that mean?? is this a serious problem?? where can i get it fixed properly??
Solution: Check the level in the ******. Make sure that oil is there and topped up if necessary. It should be on the upper marks. Goodluck! , , P0715 is the imput speed sensor is open or shorted. The P1529 is the transmission control module(computer) requsting the check engine light to turn on. These sensors are prone to going bad. , top radiator hose goes to engine its under that housing , this means that you have a fault code present in the Transmission control module (TCM), you need to have that module tested, the P1529 is just the engine computer telling you this code is present. here is the book difinition P1529 TCM Mil On Request Signal , Did you use a aftermarket O2 sensor or a genuine Hyundai one?
